Anyone had any problems with the new R2 Halloween? I've had three copies so far, and with the main disk, (the second disk plays okay) two had stuttering menu problems and a third simply refused to play in my LG3350E. Is this a bad batch of disks, or do the LG and Halloween simply not mix?

So many films, so little time...
Not sure about the above problems with the LG (sorry), but I encountered a problem with my R2 Halloween on my Hitachi 250e.
Brought from WHSmiths (£16.99), the second disc "Extended TV Cut" played w-a-y out of synch for most of the duration. Indeed, I couldn't watch more than half of the film before switching off in frustration. I've encountered a few lip synch probs before, but they've rarely been for more than a few minutes / one scene, but in this case it persisted for massive portions. I checked the first disc's cinematic version, and that played fine throughout. So I figured it was a dodgy disc.
I never got a replacement from Smiths as they'd sold out. Plus, I'm getting increasingly annoyed of their habit of removing discs from the DVD cases and storing them behind-counter in scratchy cardboard wallets, so I've decided not to use them again, low prices or not.

My disks seem to play fine, although has anyone noticed that the DD2.0 soundtrack is higher pitched than the others on the first disk ?
I did notice that my TV version appears to be a little cloudy on the underside of the disc, something I'm always careful to keep an eye out for.
I'm not sure if it affects the film at all; I checked it briefly and it seemed to play fine, but I'll have to check it thoroughly to make sure there are no lip-sync problems.

yeah, i think the cloudyness is the actual glue or whatever they stick the disc together with. I think it SHOULD be cloud free. Excessive bending of the disc could be the cause of clouds... but i'm just guessing here.

All clear now - after the three duff copies from the single branch of Woolies, I got another from another branch...and it works perfectly.
Great film, excellent picture quality, and I'm very impressed with the 5.1 soundtrack.
