View Full Version : Total Recal - Mars Pack - worst packaging ever?

Well i dont know what to do with it. Its a horrible pack, round tin sitting in a flimsy cardboard sleeve thats got a blocker inside it making the tin fall out if you sneeze. Theres not even enough there to photocopy to make a amaray cover up.

Good film though.

Agreed- I binned the cardboard bit anyway, so I just have a red thing sitting on my shelf.

I give respect to Artisan for trying something different, but in this case, it hasn't worked.

Having the 'Mars Face' on the front was a nice touch. :)

I like the round tin, but agree the card case it sits in is rubbish. maybe they could have made a metal surround for the metal tin?

Something like the Akira SE (with better disc holder) or a full version of the T2:UE metal case would have been more practical.

like the French R2 Total Recall UE (http://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P/B00005NDS5.08.LZZZZZZZ.jpg) apparently has?

i've ordered a copy with one of the 50FF vouchers for amazon.fr from the bargain forum and i'll hopefully be getting hold of it later this week (released on Wednesday)

I ordered the (French R2) T2:UE/Total Recal:UE 4 disc set from amazon.fr with the voucher it came to only £35.25 :D A nice, early Christmas prezzie!

Agree completely. A bit drab maybe, but much more practical.

You should see the box for the upcoming R2 version of Stargate. It's in the shape of a Pyramid. Why can't all distributors just stick DVDs in normal keep cases?

Mind you just goes to show they're inventive.

They had the pics for this Stargate release over at the r2 project a couple of weeks back, and whilst it sounds cool - it is apparently ridiculously impractical, is likely to fall apart in a similar fashion to the r1 Total Recall and comes in a flat pack form, so the onus is on the buyer to piece it all together... :(
