I have asked at WWFshopzone.com about a possible Wrestlemania DVD box set and they replied with an email saying there were no plans to release the set yet.

Does any WWF fans think that this box set should be release with loads of behind the scenes extras.

The last 2 Wrestlemanias have been 2 disc specials.

Should we start a petition to get the set released.

Input please.:)

I did hear rumours that a WM boxset was in the works. From what I heard (get the salt ready) the set would include every Wrestlemania in full but I- XIV would be barebones, with XV- XVII getting the re-released with the same features as the previous releases.

In theory there is no real reason why video packages explaining the build up to feuds or something similar can't be included in the older ones. I can understand why there might not be commentaries over main events (can you imagine Vince McMahon asking Bret Hart to record a commentary on his classic WM matches???).

I am rapidly losing faith in WWF. I may be too cynical but I can see any such DVD release being made purely for the money: standard sound/ picture, barebones, overpriced, etc., and then re-released every year when the next WM rolls around.

Still I would love a boxset with all of them in!! :D My mouth waters at the thought of a huge, fancy boxset so I can watch all the great matches in order. Think about it: Savage vs. Steamboat (WM III), Hogan vs. Andre (WM III), the WM IV title tournment, Hogan vs. Warrior (WM VI), Hart vs. Piper (WM VIII), Savage vs. Flair (WM VIII), Hart vs. Yokozuna (WM IX), Hart vs. Hart (WM X), Michaels vs. Ramon (WM X), Hart vs. Michaels (WM XII), Hart vs. Austin (WM XIII), etc.

If it is in production then maybe it'll get released around the same time as Wrestlemania XVIII. Just don't get your hopes up.

I think you will find that the early wrestlemanias haven't aged well and if there was a boxset you wouldn't watch the old stuff apart from the main events.

I am currently watching Wrestlemania 4 with the WWF Title Tournament, yes the action is not as fast pasted as what WWF fans are used to but the tournament is WWF history at it's best. It was the first time the WWF title had be vacant and a huge 14 man tournament to declare the undisputed WWF Champion.

It also includes-

Ultimate Warrior vs Hercules.
Koko B Ware And The British Bulldogs vs The Islanders and The Brain.
20 Man Battle Royal
WWF Intercontinental Title Match- Brutus Beefcake vs The Honky Tonk Man.

So far it's be good!:D

I've got all the available ECW DVD's (check the link to my list in my sig for details), if you want to see some truly amazing wrestling, Lance Storm, RVD, Jerry Lynn, Taz, Sabu and many others at their peak in some stunning matches check them out.

I can't recommend them enough.

A good place to go and get more details might be

www.silvervision.co.uk

They are the UK distributor for WWF videos & DVDs, you'll find more info on upcoming titles like the Lita :D DVD, The Undertaker DVD and the new WWF Action DVD.

Regarding a Wm boxset it would be nice but only if they put some effort into it. I own Wm X7 and despite it being a 2 disc set with a supposed run time of SEVEN hours, it only has the main feature and a few bits from the preceeding Sunday Night Heat. What a con! I was expecting proper extras like maybe the following Raw is War or Superstar commentaries...

Also I have heard that Channel 4 are going to end thier contract with the WWF in December as they say it is too violent and difficult to edit (which is astonishing as it is usually aired after midnight hardly primetime!). This means the Pay Per Views that they have the rights to (Fully Loaded, Royal Rumble, Backlash and Armageddon) and Sunday Night Heat are going to be of the air.

Sure they'll go to SKY but I don't have SKY!!!

By the way does anyone know where I can order WWF merchandise on the net but from a UK company (ie oredrs in British pounds)? I still need my GAME OVER T-shirt!!

Anyway, you will get even less of a choice now WWFE Inc., have bought both WCW and ECW.

Stopped watching the wrestling about 2 years ago, sometimes I'll watch it if I want a laugh.
