The brilliant Hitch Hikers Guide radio series, penned by Sheffiled's Douglas Adams made it to the small screen in the early 80s and comes to DVD on January 14th.

With an SRP of £24.99 and spanning two discs (a single sider and a double sider), the six half hour episodes get a BBFC 15 certificate and come with plenty of extras:

The Making of Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy (BBCV8495) (60 mins)
Deleted Scenes (8 mins approx)
Full Length Douglas Adams Interview - Audio (90 mins)
Tomorrow World Sequence (originally transmitted 7/05/1981) Report on Zaphod Beeblebrox Head (4 mins appox )
BAFTA award for Graphic Design - Pebble Mill at One (originally transmitted 09/02/1982) (4 mins)
'Easter Egg' - Full Version of Opening Titles (45 seconds)
...totalling 77 minutes of extra footage.

I have the complete HHGTTG on VHS from a while ago, and thats rated PG!

Wonder what makes it a 15 in this release!

Just to do a bit of celeb name dropping, I work with Ceri Dixon, who is David "Ford Prefect" Dixon's wife!!

I'm also looking forward to the DVD, but I'd thought I'd mention my rubbing shoulders with the (relatives of) stars first

I've got a copy of the Making of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy on VHS, and it's rated 15.

So I guess that'd be the reason.

You've forgotten the new 25 minute documentary "Don't Panic!", made by one of the members of the Doctor Who Restoration Team. So that's about 100 mins total (excluding the audio interview).
