Mine took about three weeks, but I think most people got theirs quicker.
Is it a good film if you're not a massive fan of HK flicks?
is $33 the cheapest shipping option? Its a bit steep, although still an excellent price overall
I think $33 is the cheapest, thats what I paid. Still, I have read it's a heavy set.
just saw this on yesasia. http://global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.aspx/pid-1004001726/code-j/section-videos/

Surprised no-one's mentioned this (Phanton of the Opera 2004) set (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump.php?url=http://cd-wow.at/thedvdforums^QS^DURL=http://www9.cd-wow.com/detail_results_2.php^QS^product_code=17954) yet.
Looks quite a nice package and pretty limited too !
Just received this and am very disappointed. Rather than the leather box described it actually comes in a cheap PVC/leatherette clad effort. :suspect:
Sending mine back.

Good luck!
Thanks. :D
Edit: Well they've sent me an e-mail saying they'll post out a FREEPOST returns pack and refund as soon as they receive it back.
Soon see if they're as good as their word.
For the record, it is still quite a nice set, but I bought it as a gift rather than because I want to see the film so it didn't live up to what I wanted. Others might still like it. :)
I received my Kung Fu Hustle set today, didn't think it was going to be that big. Good fast service form dvdsfromkorea
For anyone getting rid of the Opera boxset can i get first dibs please.

Don't want to bring you down rst, but I don't think they're in that much demand - they're still in stock at Amazon Japan for example.
Of course, that all depends on how much you want for :)

Amazon also had them on sale last week (it may still be on) at £55 shipped.
It's a bugger for those of us that paid top whack for one when they first came out. :(

This thread seems to have been a bit dead recently! Is no one makeing any more limited edition/funky packaging DVDs?! :(
I've had to start buying toys/figures/statues to make up for the non-buying of limited edtion DVDs!

Nah its cos its in the wrong forum, it needs to be back in the general DVD forum. It used to be a decent thread in there now its useless. I cant believe no one has mentioned the stunning Shawshank Jap release yet. Come on mods move it back.

Just got the (R3) Black Hawk Down SDE Premium Box Set from www.dvdheaven.com. You get an unexceptional outer cardboard box, a 4 disk version of BHD (Superbit) including the OST disk, a rather fetching BHD t-shirt (large) and the special edition of Tears of the Sun. Can't wait to re-watch BHD.
I might get the Monica Bellucci Collection just for the cover:

mm... nice, considering it myself.
If it contains the uncensored 'Irreversible' then I might get it! I've already got 'Malena' but don't have 'Dobermann'. Not sure if I liked that when I saw it on TV though.
Psycho
I already have Irreversible R2UK, I've been after Melena for a while now, price is quite good for the set.
EDIT: Doberman has Korean subs only :(

Just a little note from my experience with DVDHeaven:
1. Pay by paypal - their verified by visa thing looks a bit shoddy and I couldn't see any sign of encryption
2. Choose the cheapest shipping option (which is still a fair whack) - my disks arrived in a week, which is respectable.
3. If you have any queries, the quickest way to contact them is via MSN (http://www.dvdheaven.com/help/help_007.php) - I cancelled an order and asked for order status using MSN and both times I was dealt with very courteously.
4. Packaging for disks is excellent - nice sturdy boxes are used for SEs, complete with additional bubble wrap.
I'd definitely use them again - I quite fancied the Kubrick box set and Kevin Smith Collection
Looks like 'Irreversible' has only Korean subs as well! :(
Psycho
Odd, I have the Korean SE (with film cell etc.) and it has English subs.
Also, it is optically censored (male full frontal nudity i.e. dangly bits)...
...not that it matters too much :gag:
dvdfromkorea has Irreversible (from the set) listed with english subs
just received my r2 Superbit (Jap) Kung Fu Hustle from Yes Asia (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump.php?url=http://global.yesasia.com/assocred.asp^QS^LU83C65N) and it is damn good. Spotless transfer and top notch audio as weve come to expect from Superbit titles. I do like the sparkly finish on the dvd, adds class to the package.
On a bitter note, just got caught out on a couple of titles with forced subs :(
The Final Cut(r3) and Below(r3). Bought them for the dts soundtrack.
For those who dont want to fork out for the Superbit Jarassic Parks, heres the answer

whats in the incredibles set? are there any better pic of the box set about

I can't remember too much but there is semi-hefty 'Art of The Incredibles' book in there which is presumably in Japanese but the book is available on it's own in the UK - I saw it in Borders just before Christmas
Here it is on Amazon Japan (http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0009DC7Z4/qid=1136546544/sr=8-2/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i2_xgl74/250-1931626-0910649)
Looking at that now it seems to have a watch and some sort of print/cell.
And just the book on Amazon UK (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0811844331/thedvdforums-21)

is it not a little misleading where it shows the box of 4 figures and a horse - according to the specs (from what I can see), you only actually get one figure and NOT the 5 as shown :(
Little bit naughty as far as I am concerned.
Or have i read it wrong?
Do you get the box of 4 plus the horse and an extra figure which;
It also features a 5-inch tall figure resembling the Qin Dynasty soldier! We would pick 1 out of 4 different designs for you, and you have to dig out the figure with the tools provided - be an archeologist yourself!
Any clarification on this????
Thanks
You get everything along the top"Product images" section.
The other items are a "Gift-mousemat" and a "Luckydraw Gift-set of four figures and a horse" (I assume both are from YesAsia).
I pre-ordered the set and didn't receive any additional "Gifts" from YesAsia :(
Think I'll mail them and have a whinge!
Oops! I got a mousemat. Ooo... how could I forget! :)
The figure is a bit naff. It's a little like one of those dinosaur kits you se in those Discovery shops. Looks like it's encased in a big chicken Oxo cube!
I probably wouldn't have bothered with it it it wasn't a 3 disc set.
Ah, so you do not automatically get the 4 figures and horse - only if you a "lucky"???
From your post, you don't seem to have received them?

Memento Mori UE is on sale at dvdfromkorea for just $22.99, looks a nice set but I didn't reckon too much to the movie.
Plus the extras discs have no English subs.
Doesn't matter. It's a lovely looking set. I paid full price for mine and I like it a lot :)
It's like a feature length TATU video, but with Korean schoolgirls. What more do you want?
I liked the film a lot myself.
I thought Memento Mori was awful, it's the equivelant of giving something like "Cabin Fever" a 6-disc release. :D

It didn't die because of the lack of SE it died because it was moved from the general DVD forum, when really all that got discussed in here was English films anyway.
Theres also a Davinci Code LE out there.
