cheapest seems to be cd-wow 21.99 incl delivery

amazon is also 21.99 but delivery is extra..bout 1.50 i think

its worth it that for the footage from a danish tv appaerance in 1969. it was shown on bbc2 bout 10-15 yrs back and was a bout 30 mins long (i taped it on video) if its the same 1 that was on tv its fantastic stuff never mind all the resst of live footage.

This 2-DVD set is due out on 26/5/2003 (R2) and 27/5/2003. It looks like a good set.

Originally posted by Wacko on 2nd April in the bargain forums. DVD Depot seems to be the cheapest. Hope this info ok.

There appears to be a few bargain prices for the R1 package at DV-Depot:

http://www.dv-depot.com/catalog/pro...ducts_id=135697

and Amazon.ca:

http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/AS...thedvdforums-20

Prices convert to between £13-15, which seems pretty good for a 2-DVD set with 30 songs and DTS sound (especially when the RRP for the R2 is £29.99!)

I've got that Danish TV footage on video too, it was on a program called "Heavy Metal Heaven" on BBC2 presented by Elvira, very dire program but very good Led Zep footage, the audiance have no idea what they are seeing.

It popped through the postbox this morning (2 days from play, a personal record) and it is excellent. The DTS soundtrack has given me a headache (but it has to be played loud), and I don't think the neighbours appreciated it too much :)

Yes ..is this the black and white set starting with communication breakdown? I still have it along with the knebworth stuff from 1990/91 I think.

That guns and roses set was great too, still got that in a box somewhere..

Cant wait for this disc!

Does anyone know what the difference is (if any) between the region 2 and the region 4 that CD Wow are doing? Play have the Region 2 down as multi region anyway, so I can't see there being any differences myself.

Cheers.

I got the Region 2 from Play. On the back cover it is actually Region 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 - but not 1.

I'll ask again as I think it was missed: Is the Danish TV footage definitely on the disc? I've looked at the disc details and I've not seen it mentioned.

Yes the Danish TV footage is on the disc and mighty fine it is too.
Unfortunately though, the sound for this particular feature, as with some of the other 'extras' has not been remixed for 5.1 or DTS but it still sounds great nevertheless.

I know scoobsean has said the version from Play covers all regions but 1. I'm still a little worried about this from CD-Wow though - the R4 version is quite a bit cheaper than the R2 version. Why would this be the case unless they were different to each other?

Has anyone actually ordered the R4 version from CD-Wow?

If so can, when you get it can you please let us know if it's just R4 or plays R2 as well.

Thanks.

THE best music dvd there is. Not just saying that because its new. The sound is fantastic and very loud compared to other music dvds. The only other disc that can compare sound-wise is Hullabaloo by Muse. The footage is superb also. Best stuff is Royal Albert Hall 1970. :notworthy
