Well I might be really stupid but I can't see a link on the site to buy tickets yet, so I guess they're not up for grabs yet.

Still no sign on the site - will be sometime today so keep checking I guess

Any news on how many tickets 1 person can buy per game? I'd imagine it'll be 2 or 4.

The 'follow your team' offer looks the best. You pay for every round of England games and if you get knocked out in the 1st stage you get refunded for the games that you won't attend.

Also if your team fails to qualify altogether then you get a full refund.

Well it was like this in the World Cup

MorganW

Yup - the follow your team is what I am going for. Just bear in mind that there is an extra 10% administration charge for this ticket. If your team fails to make Euro 2004 then you will get the value of the tickets back, plus half the administration charge.

Indeed, it is a similar set up to the World cup...i just hope that the ticket prices are far less! I spent a couple of thousand USDs on about 6-7 games at the world cup, and those were face value tickets! The opening game at $500 per ticket was the most expensive I bought, and even for a seat at that price I was on the furthest possible row from the pitch at Seoul Stadium! LOL

seems the site is now up re:ticketing. Bit of a bugger, but you also need your passport number when applying...DOH

Sod it, have booked them anyway but now probably too late to be in the first 1000

will send them a letter with my passport number on as the regs say you can amend your details by letter if you make a "mistake"

Good stuff - Booked 4 for England on 'Follow My Team' in Cat 3 but only had my credit card no. and exp date written down as I cut the card up ages age (as I was suppose to never use it again! ) so don't know the 3 digit security code.:(

It didn't pop up and say that it was a mandatory field though like it did when I left 'Postal Town' blank so I may be in luck. Do you think it wise to write to them with updated details. Only have Visa and not Mastercard aswell.

So by filling this in it doesn't actually mean we have tickets does it? Just that our applications have been accepted. It should be 1st come, 1st served in my book.

DeadYankee
28-04-2003, 15:06
Yeah, I'd update if I were you and change to visa

Only the first 1000 were guaranteed, how you find out if you are in the top 1000 is anyones guess

I guess we'll all know in July. Gotta be in it to win it.

I have emailed the ticket section to ask if I should send my security code. It didn't comeup with a pop-up asking for it though and I just tried another mock application and left out the expiry date and a pop up came on and said 'you must fill in' so I may be OK anyway.

No money is to be taken out until August anyway!

Do you know if the 'Follow Your Team' tickets definitely sit you in the area for those fans?

I don't fancy ending up in the Turkish end for England vs Turkey should it happen

I think it would be fairly bizarre if you bought tickets to follow your team and were seated with opposition fans! Surely not even UEFA can be that stupid

Thought id bump this as applications shut yesterday, and i heard a rumour that only Portugal, England and Germany oversubscribed their allocation and will go to a ballot? Is this true or rubbish?

There is nothing about it on the site.

I hope your right as it could mean me and all my mates would be gauranteed our Wales tickets - as long as they qualify (hopefully).;)

Well, up until Thursday 12 June; Portugal, England, Germany and Holland were overbooked. Here (http://www.euro2004.com/competitions/EURO/euro2004sa/News/Kind=8/newsId=74691.html)

And also on the site, it says if you're successful, you get a letter. If you're unsuccessful, you get an e-mail. You'll recieve confirmation by Thursday 31st July.

Wales were definitely oversubscribed unfortunately - I just have my fingers crossed for tickets now

Are you going to the Italy game??? I can't wait

welshmatt
25-06-2003, 13:12
Unfortunately not, none of my mates wanted to go, didnt fancy a solo trip :( Looks like a lot of Wales fans will though, hopefully get a result.

Got tickets for the Serbia and Finland games, could well be nerve wracking come sept/october:help:

DeadYankee
26-06-2003, 10:23
Yeah, I am not expecting a Wales win in the San Siro but I just wanted to be there - it''ll be a great night whatever the result

I honestly believe that we can turn over Serbia (esp given that they are now "planning for the future") and then take Finland at home

if we do that then Italy can't touch us

Just got the dreaded e-mail that I've been rejected Euro 2004 tickets. :(

Dear Applicant,

We would like to thank you for your FollowMy Team Ticket Application of England, nº xxxxxxxx

You have probably noticed in the media that we received an enormous number of ticket applications. Unfortunately, as a result of the lottery, your ticket request was not successful.

However, there are still tickets available for some of the matches. These tickets will be sold through www.euro2004.com, beginning on the 1st August 2003.

So if you want to be part of UEFA EURO 2004T, go to www.euro2004.com and
apply for tickets!

Yours sincerely,
Euro 2004, S.A.

I was unsuccessful for Wales tickets and am quite surprised as I applied in the first 2 minutes of them going on sale and have a reference number in the low 300's - as I booked with a mastercard I was led to believe the forst 1000 who did so were GUARANTEED tickets. I'll be wriing to Euro2004 and Mastercard on Monday
