http://www.1a-dvdshop.ch/

never used them before though.
as i understand it films with the highest classification FSK-18 (i think) aren't allowed to be sold online in germany, and have to have their own sections in video shops, so they're pretty hard to get hold of.

i don't know of any official reviews but i remember being told it was the best version of the film out there, i think it's anamorphic and 5.1, but i never got round to buying it.

I've got it - the picture is very good but cant remember if its anamorphic. Theres an english DD 5.1 soundtrack which is very good. The extras are in German only - Trailers for Hellraiser 1-3,
Deleted scene from Hellraiser 2 (crap quality taken off the Japanese LD), Making of.
I got mine from the ebay dealer/seller 'nowhere'

The German "Red Edition" is 4:3 P&S. However, so is the cut UK version :)

I must urge you not to buy German Laser Paradise DVDs. This company is notorious fro releasing mostly ***** discs - the picture quality of their releases is often like on a third generation VHS copy. And forget about them advertising 5.1 soundtracks - these are always atrocious upmixes that sound worse than mono.
However, they have improved the quality of recent releases (e.g. Dellamorte Dellamore, Argento's Trauma). Hellraiser 3 is a very old release and you'd be better off with the Dutch release, available from www.freerecordshop.nl at a bragain price.

I don't have a problem with this DVD, it's just that I managed to get hold of the Japanese laserdisc [which wasn't easy!].

Is this version cut or uncut ?

Does it have an english soundtrack?

Just as a side note - the additions don't improve the film in any way. If you're a completist, collect away, but if you're expecting the 'uncut' version to be a significantly different viewing experience I'm afraid it's not...

From other forum :

The Dutch Version is the theatrical cut and the German Version the Directors Cut. German Version is not harder but have more scenes.

Both DVds have similar Quality. But the German Version habe Scenes witch are taken from a Laser Disc i think ( only the extendet Scenes ). So You can see qualitiy differences.

Quality is similar with return of the Living Dead III UK-DVD

any comments?
