I saw The Sweetist Thing last night under immense pressure from the girlfriend. Sat down to watch is expecting the worst but it was surprisingly funny. Sort of reminded me of a film version of Sex & The City. It is definately worth a rental...not sure if it's one i'd buy, but I could probably watch it again. All I can really say is give it a chance and don't dismiss it as your typical romantic comedy crap!

I sat down to watch this not expecting 'typical romantic comedy crap' but an American Pie type comedy.

Unfortunately I got neither, what I got was one of the worst, least funny movies I've ever seen, and trust me I watch some crap :)

I have gotta say the only bit I remotely enjoyed was the penis song which was pretty funny. The rest of it was just dull and the storyline was awful (as indeed was the ending). If you want something funny, check out "Not another teen movie", that's one of my faves and it has a musical number in the middleclap:

I have to say I rather enjoyed this one, it some cool gross out humor. Can't really say the same for Not another Teen Movie.

This is technically the worst movie ever created IMO.

Not Another Teen movie is maybe the second worst (the 'Prom Tonight' song is pretty cool.....)

This movie is awful beyond words, and normally i can find redeeming features in most movies.

Bad, bad, bad and everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves.

Yes, it's technically a very "bad" film. Crap screenplay, zero chemistry & awful direction (which was a shock after Roger Kumble's fabulous "Cruel Intentions" but I digress) but that said I still found it laugh out loud funny! (Especially the "movie montage" moment), so imho it's a success as it did what it was intending to do - make me laugh!

Didn't like The Sweetest Thing either. It was crude for the sake of being crude. Jokes were predictable and the delivery of the jokes was way off target. I won't even get started on the plot ... :gag:

Sweetest Thing is the worst film I've seen this year! And as for that Penis song in the restaurant...well, is that the worst scene in a film, EVER!?!?!

Hmmm, yup, I think you're right there - definately the worst I've seen.

Definitely one of the worst films I've ever seen too - SOOOO unfunny. Stuttered from one cringeworthy moment to the next... :oh-hum:
