This weekend I`ve been mostly listening to the new Finlaye Quaye album (spelling may be a bit off there). Seems a lot more intelligent than his last two but a bit less catchy. Dice is a wicked song though (featuring Beth Orton and Willian Orbit does whatever he does to it).

And I thought I was going to be the only one in here who liked Travis :D The new album has a very 'Beetles' feel to it - especially the opening track :suspect: Is the Dido one any good? I have her first, as cedge bought it for me for a Christmas present, and it grew on me.

The second Dido is very similar (and I mean very!). A lot of the stuff sounds the same but it is music you can put on in the background while doing other things :)

Not sure if the version I have is the same as yours, but I'd put money on it being her.(It doesn't sound like an onstage 'live' recording, more like studio live with an audeince)

Bit of bip bop:

Jaylib - Champion Sound

Takes a few listens before the albums sinks in. I imagine copious amount of ganja must have been consumed during the making of this record. The lyrics are sung just that little bit behind the beat.

Has Manda Rins band got an album out?

I think the sound on the night was way off. Whoever was in charge of that, I don't think were doing a good job. I'll leave it as the quality of the songs didn't shine through due to this.

I'll catch them again and see if they're any better. Don't know if they have an album out I was just going along to check them out and see if they were much cop.

Well I went and I saw.

Odeon Beatclub, fantastic as usual. Kain, awful, libertine copyists, made for the exit as soon as I heard a trumpet trying to make a solo. Feel sorry for those left behind.

My comiserations. King tuts was brilliant tonight though. Packed to the rafters.

Odeon Beatclub, search them out. Quality band.

Final thought for the nicht.

I listened to this again a couple of nights ago. Great acoustic sounding album. I think Jerry should def go back in this direction if he does another solo album.

Did anyone get the re-issued 'Degredation trip' album with the 2nd bonus CD?. What was that like?
