Firstly, i have to commend ABC's impressive attempt at retaining the superbowl watching episode (i.e. the first few minutes). More of the same please.
The actual episode however struck me as being a bit of a surprise. SD-6 and the alliance is gone. It wasn't what I expeced. What's the series going to be about now?
Can't wait for the next episode to see if this turns out to be a stroke of genius or another 'end of a.i. ruin the story moment'.
Was also great to see her irritating housemate get replaced.:clap:
Hopefully Alias will pull in a lot more viewers after last night. Their ratings were expectedly higher than usual but I hope that continues in the future too. ABC obviously were going for the male audience last night. Two trailers that aired during the Superbowl also seemed to embrace the "not much clothes on" aspect :D
About time too Syd and Vaughn kissed. I was wondering how much further they could drag that out.
I don't know, I quite liked Francie in the end. She never did much but she grew on me. A bit like Will, he was a pretty annoying character to a lot of people for most of the last season but they made him a lot more likeable.
Really looking forward to where they are going with this now.

amazing episode, so many shocks, i never expected to see them get wiped out in one episode...really looking forward to next weeks
I've felt let down by this season compared to the last few episodes of season 1, but this episode is the best thing I've seen on tv in months. It even beats season 2 of 24 and the second shield season!!
Everythings changed in this episode and the ending was excellent.
The first 15 minutes were worthy of a movie and the opening section made for must see TV :norty:
Utterly fantastic episode and series, deserves to do well.
I'm still buzzing after seeing it 90 minutes later.
Methinks a change to the thread title is in order - IE "Best episode this season, find it and watch it now!!!"
i think it could well be the best episode out of any tv series this season.
Who else thought Francie had killed Will when they saw the blood smeared across the tiles?
I can't believe anybody liked this episode.
They killed the show.
I had read before that they were going to dumb the show down - but I never believed that they would destroy the entire premise of the show.
Everything that this show was about is gone.
We're going to get stand-alone episodes with Sydney and Vaughn against the evil, evil Sloane from now on - who wants to see that ?
And bringing Sydney and Vaughn together is even worse - anybody remember Moonlighting, Lois and Clark or Riley (on Buffy) ?
And don't get me started on that Evil Twin/Clone/surgically altered Anna Espinosa or whatever.
I really don't know if I'll be watching next week - maybe I'll just try to forget about the last three minutes of this episode and consider it the series finale.
This has been a bad season - Farscape cancelled, Firefly not getting a chance, Enterprise not getting cancelled, Buffy sinking even lower than last season, Angel sinking to Buffy level, Birds of Prey (a good idea) handled very badly, Sopranos getting even more boring than last season and now they killed Alias.
What's left ?
24, CSI (original), The Dead Zone and Smallville.
And no good new shows in sight. :oh-hum:
I thought it was a brilliant episode but i am worried where it will go from now on.

i am sure they've got it all planned out - they wouldn't do anything stupid...would they?
i've read that there will definitely be a 3rd season but i guess if ratings drop drastically, that could change

Well, I have to say on this point - I really enjoyed the season premiere of Miracles last night! I'll definitely be watching it to see how it progresses.
I don't think the show ill be changed due to Sydney and Vaughns relationship.
Both Moonlighting and Lois and Clark were shows that had the will they or wont they angle as the main focus. There is far more going on in alias to let it affect the show that much.

OH MY GOD WHAT A FREAKING EPISODE
This and 24 are ruling the airways  :notworthy
Niothing has come close to me for must watch tv since Voyager and x-files :D
I can't belive sd-6 have been beaten so easily BUT what a mastermind/loon Sloane is :suspect: :notworthy :| :norty:
OMG! Absolutely fantastic episode!!! Brilliant in every aspect. I could hardly breathe after it had finished.
After perhaps a slightly subdued start to the Series it has well and truly picked up. The more I thought about the way Sydney revealed to Dixon the truth about SD-6, the more I realised how brilliant it was. There would never be an easy way to tell him, and if it was ever going to be done, then it would have done in a rash way (just like it was).
And the final scene.../me looks for a jaw-dropping smiley. I thought it was going to be Will lying on the floor too. Pure class.

This episode felt rushed to me, it really should have been a two-parter especially since it concerned the fall of the Alliance and guest-starred Rutger Hauer. Considering the whole series up to this point has been about the CIA taking down the Alliance it seemed slightly forced that they wrapped it up so quickly. Still, the ending was brilliant so I'm curious to see where they go from here.
By far the best episode of Alias so far  When I first saw people saying that episode 13 would change the whole premise of the show I guessed that it would be the end of SD-6 and this was confirmed by the annoying episode description in the Radio Times  I never guessed the end with Sloane and Sark setting up the whole thing though  and I too thought Francie had killed Will at the end
I'm surprised they didn't spread it over at least two episodes though and worried about where the series can go from here. It was strange that Irina wasn't in it at all this week. Hopefully they will keep Dixon and Marshall in the series somehow too.
Can anyone whose seen the whole series comment on whether whether it gets a lot worse after this without giving any spoilers?

well, the series changes direction, the guy in invented the series did say that he'll kill himself if he had to write another episode ofSydney nearly got caught sceniaro. Sloan is still the bad guy and the quality doesn't dip, there are some cracking ones coming up.
Me off to put the VCDs in my DVD player for some Alias action. :p

I think Abrams is going to develop a cult-like status pretty soon. The guy seems to be pure genius. Can't wait to see how the rest of this Season pans out.
the quality definately picks up throughout the rest of the season and the finale will drive you nuts.
