Bumping this ’cos it’s in the right forum - Does anyone know for sure if all the extra features are the same on both the US and Canadian DVD sets?

Cheers for the heads-up, thought they were never going to get shown over here...

Recent repeat screenings of Law & Order on Saturdays seem to be shown without ads and judging by the lateness and the allocated slot (45mins) this Boomtown run could also be ad-free. Warm up those DVD-recorders!

Well, that was fairly painful. As enjoyable as it was to spend time with these characters again it was depressing to see how they have gutted this once fine show.

Special mention should be made of the abysmal insert shot of the collapsing building as evidence of how little they seemed to care.

got to agree - it was pretty awful

when I spotted that the episode had been written by the show's creator in the opening credits, my hopes were raised momentarily

vanessa williams and rebecca de mornay in the same show - what on earth were they thinking?

thought it was ok, but it felt very cheap compared with the first season. (not to mention ripping the heist idea from Die Hard 3)

Theme tune & opening titles are still cool though. :)

Can't say I was too impressed either. They seem to have done away with what attracted me to the show, the fact that the crime was seen/replayed via everyone's viewpoints, yet they still included the characters' names on the black screen as if they were going to show each segment?

Interested to know how the series ends, if it does. Does the sixth episode finish as if there was going to be a seventh, or does it wrap all the storylines up, if you get my meaning?

Absolute bobbins!

Crap, tired and no depth. It was just n where near to the first series which were very innovative. I hope that the next few get better.

It was better now that McNorris was back but still lame-o. Those title cards are a joke. What purpose do they serve?!?!?! Wish I’d watched Karen (jiggle) Sisco instead.

Just wondered if anyone could let me know how it ended in order so that I don't have to suffer the rest of the six episodes!

I want the foxy journo to return. The best bit was the dialogue between her and McNorris.

I enjoyed it last night (missed last weeks), mainly the bit where the cop wanna be on a robbery went after someone for a busted tail-light!

Although the building exploding ep was pretty dire in defence of Season 2 I still feel the worst ep I have seen is when Fearless went Rambo against the Russian mafia jumping off a rooftop and shooting every one of them before hitting the floor, and thats season 1.

Couldn't agree more - Nina Garbiras (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0304993/) and she doesn't appear to have done owt since.

I watched the first of this run, winced for an entire hour and haven't been back for reasons mostly documented above. How they have the audacity to employ the 'Name of chracter on screen' device when it no longer serves the dramatic purpose it used to, god only knows.

I thought it was inadvertantly hilarious this week when one of the regular cops (ray? tom? the one implicated in the Vistas scandal) said that the LA police force were the best in the world.

Planet Hollywood innit? He's obviously never heard of the Rage Against the Machine gig for starters.

Best ep so far in this curtailed run. Almost good enough to have been in the first series seeing as they actually made decent use of the multiple perspective idea for the first time in this second season. Shame that Vanessa Williams had to be in it but she was peripheral and not too distr(non)acting.

I didn'tthink it was that good, but then I'mslightly annoyed that to me its gone more 'mainstream cop series' in that what I loved about the first season is that in its best episodes it reminded me of a wes anderson movie, we would see an overview of the stories of all those involved and not just the cops, a major participant to this feel was that we covered the story of a medic as well as a semi-regular character. SO what do they go and do? Make her a blinkin' rookie cop.

How on Earth could they drop her? She was the best charachter in there.

Also pretty foxy too!
