But I really used to like this show, and since it was 40 min+ per episode what are the chances of it getting a dvd release?
Slim to none :lol:
Still anyone heard anything? Maybe over in R4 land......
....and is it currently being shown on TV? If so what channel?
I'd say none was pretty accurate......don't think there's the demand for this even on a "best of" dvd or video to be honest. Good series, but short of taping it off tv, I wouldn't hold your breath to see it ever.
I know it gets shown sporadically on BBC2 and teenie Digital/Cable channels like Trouble but I can never be arsed actually taping it ;)

I remember watching this many moons ago - yes, in those summer months - and spotting that the principal of the school was he called Les in the show?) was actually in Star Wars!

Most of the various HH cast have appeared on Farscape at some point or other as well :nuts:
The little greek cutie, Ada Nicadameu (spelling is probably wrong) is now in Home and Away and had a brief role in the Matrix.
Kat is in Home and Away too? I knew there was a reason for Channel 5 :norty:
Also in the Matrix, when Neo goes to visit the oracle, the woman that opens the door was one of the regular teachers on HH (the one with the really annoying semi-american accent)....yes I've seen The Matrix one too many times :nuts:
As for Kat - "Follow the white rabbit" indeed :D
It's a good thing they didn't imprint a beaver on her shoulder :nuts:

I used to watch this years back. They did a great job of randomly changing characters personalitys ala neighbours! I'm sure there was a good number of series tho.

I used to like watching HH. Good Aussie program, bettered only by Neighbours :D

Never watched Neighbours (well maybe back when Kylie was in it!) I liked the personality changes in HH - that's what teenagers are like innit :D

Ran for 6 seasons 1994-1999 (with a network change somewhere in the middle) over 30 eps a season all clocking in at 40+ mins each, and it was a once a week show rather than 5 times a week like other Aussie soaps.

Also liked the canadian show about school kids, and a few series once they were out of school - Degreasi jr high perhaps? or something like that. Hmm, that will bug me now.

used to love this when i was a kid, remember watching it in the school holidays and days when i had a day off, allways wanted school to be like that but it never was :mad:

This is pre simpsons followed by fresh prince, which is in turn pre simpsons followed by hollyoaks :D
And neighbours remains and constant throughout. :) Never lets you down :D

It did seem like The Problem Of The Week Show for Drazic during the period that I watched it.
What sat/cable/fv channel used to air this? I remember watching reruns only a few years back... thought it was a great series along with Madison.
Used to be on BBC2 and cable station Trouble a couple years back.
Got S1 of Degrassi on dvd but haven't watched it yet.
Use to love Heartbreak High. Only really started watching it around the time Anita and Drazic were in it, so a couple of seasons tops.
The headmistress was in the earlier episodes as a completely different character to the one she played later.....and wasn't she the drama coach in real life for some of the cast?

if i remember correctly there was a storyline where a teacher and a student got it together, and eventually they went off together! Anyone remember the bald student who was a bit character in one series and then turned into a major one in the next? And then when the school combined with another one and the old one was torn down?
This needs a dvd release!

For what its worth, there are lots of eps of Heartbreak High appearing on ebay regularly. They are, of course, DVDs of recorded TV eps.

Wasn't that the film that started the HH series? The Heartbreak Kid http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0107093/ starring Alex Dimitriades (Nick) and Claudia Karvan (from Secret Life Of Us) as the teacher.

Actually thinking of it, it wasn't Nick I was thinking of as the kid who went off with a teacher, the biker one. It was that long haired fella, who was a bit character for ages and then suddenly became a major one! He went off with his teacher, the bald one replaced him as class nutter, and then he was replaced by his mate Drazic!
I was sad enough to check the IMDB and a load of em all carrying on aussie tv careers it seems...
Bald one was Bolton wasn't it? Major character for a long time, did a "Beach Bash" which had posters still up about 3 seasons after he left :D

Used to watch this loads. Marco was in Home&Away right? His girlfriend in the show 'Katarina' appeared in The Matrix, with the white rabbit tatoo didn't she?
I miss the Rivers/Draz era... with the drug addiction that was dealt with in one episode I seem to remember. Great soapy stuff.

I'm sure I just spotted HH's 'Katarina' in Home & Away alongside her mum from HH!
I don't watch H&A by the by but I do realise Ada whatsername is a regular in it.

yes, the girl from HH (wh was nick's cousin i think) has been in home and away for ages.
Sure i saw abi from HH in the secret life of us as well, remembered her weird way of talking.
Is there an episode guide? i'd like see what i've been missing, if any eps, don;t get trouble anymore on sky.

Bloody hell! Looks like it's gonna be released in Germany - Heartbreak High Season 1.1 (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000GG4NPG/thedvdforum06-21) 5 disc set (approx 14 hours) for September 11th.
Only about 4 years since I asked about it on here as well ;)
It seems to say German DD2.0 only though......
I can't believe they'd release this with only a dubbed German track - guess we'll have to wait and see.
