Firstly, I am sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but I couldn't figure where it should go. My question is about returning discs to the US, its the first time I've had to do this and was wondering what the best method of shipping it is so it doesn't cost too much and gets there in a reasonable time. Any help appreciated.:noid:

Depends on the supplier, some places (DV-Depot) have a very good return policy where you just need to return the disc itself in an envelope, try asking the supplier what their policy is.

I asked a couple of days ago but am very impatient and no longer want to wait for a reply, I'm hoping to send it quickly in order to get a replacement quickly. Think I'll just ask at the P.O. Thanks anyway neil.

What are you sending and why?

I ask because I had a copy of the original Pulp Fiction disc go bad after four years. Realising the original retailer would tell me to naff off, rightly so, I just sent it to the address on the disc, normal post, and I obtained a proof of postage at the PO. Cost me about £1.70/£2 I think. My reasoning was that the disc didn't work, the retailer had no obligation to replace it, it was just taking up space in my cupboard. If it got lost I could claim from the PO, if that didn't work, I hadn't lost anything apart from the postage costs. I got a new, sealed copy back from the US within four weeks.

My point, ramblingly made, is that you needn't spend a fortune.

Thanks for the info. I'm sending back "I Stand Alone" as the disc is defective, no action on three players. I certainly don't mind paying a little fee for shipping and your tale gives me hope that I won't have to. Thanks again.

I had two discs arrive detached from their spindles in my Babylon 5 boxset from DVDBoxOffice. I popped the individual discs into a padded envelope and sent them back and a couple of weeks later two replacements arrived (on Christmas Eve to be precise :) ). Each in their own amray. They also refunded the postage. Top service.
