Just seen the other thread about this - sorry.
I've found a number of threads on AVForums that say this is NTSC too so panic over. When I saw someone mention on that forum that they didn't think it did NTSC and then I saw Comet say it didn't I thought I'd bought a turkey, but from the other thread here and some of the other threads on AVForums it looks like it does handle NTSC and that it's a good set.
I'll find that out next Saturday when it comes. Until then I'm reduced to using my old 15 inch Gateway monitor and Mercury TV card (which doesn't seem to want to provide any audio) hooked up to my TIVO. A bit of a step down from a 29" Sony 4:3*. :-(
*I've been using my brother's set and it's just died today after about 8-9 years.
I've found conflicting information about this set, which I've just ordered, regarding it's ability to play NTSC. Has anyone got this set or knows for sure that it does or doesn't play NTSC?
I've looked on the Sony website and their specs here (http://products.sony.co.uk/pro_techspec.asp?pid=848&ShowRange=Yes&Percentage=11&New=No&Cat=tv&subCat=Analogue+Widescreen+16%3A9&Ire=&CatID=1&sProdName=KV28LS35(S)) state that it does, but being a bit paranoid I'm hoping that someone can confirm this.
