Is it Ok to mix speaker manufacturers in the same setup?
At present my setup is
Pioneer DV535
Denon AVR-1801
Kef Cresta 2
Kef Cresta Centre
Kef Sub
Old Sony Hifi rears
I want to uprate my Rears and gz5ztg has recommended some Eltax HT2s. Will these mix in with my Kefs OK?
What is the advantage of having Bipolar speakers such as these over conventional speakers?
I'd like to order some today, but don't want to get the wrong thing!

Dunno how well the Eltax's will integrate with the Kef's but I suspect it won't make a huge difference. If you were introducing a different brand centre to the main speakers, that would make more difference.
The bipolar design would help de-localise the speakers, so the surround effects, while being directional, wouldn't be as "direct" as a traditional speaker. I've got bipoles and they certainly improved the "ambient" surround and it is less like having two speakers pointing at you at the back of the room.
You buying from www.richer.com ? Cheap bipolar designs there ... including the eltax's I think.

Thats where I was recommended to buy from?
Never used them before though, are they usually quick and is the CC good?

Richer are OK. Good warranty - but arguably not worth the money on something at that price level. Delivery for my DVD player was about 5 days - it really depends on how busy they are. Certainly not the fastest e-tailer about ... but OK.

Looks like its a toss up between the Eltaxs from Richersounds, or a pair of Wharfedale WH2 Bipole Rears from The Hifi Store.
Any of these better than the other?

If the wharfies are from the diamond range ... they might well be a better bet. I can't say to be honest though - outside my realm of experience. :)
