I have tried Vivastar CDR's, Phillips CDR's and a load of other ones and they havent worked.
Any tips?
This is for Audio and for VCD's.

Hi, I've tried Princo CDR's on my Sony 525 and they worked fine.
You can order a pack of five from http://www.cdr-by-mail.co.uk/ for under three quid to test first.
Give them a try - I'd easily recommend these people :)

Ive just placed an order for a sample.
Thanks for the tip:)
Do you know why only certain brands work?

I've no idea to be honest  I only know that my 525 shouldn't read CDR at all, but for some reason is happy with these disks.
Anyway, hopefully they should work for you okay :)

Thanks matey, the princo ones worked a treat!!
Finally somewhere to get these from. Thanks. I have a Sony 725 DVD player so I've just ordered a sample pack too.
Got them this morning - work very sweetly indeed - I feel a larger order coming on!

I placed an order for 50 and they got to me the next day.
That was with first class recorded delivery( standard ). £1.28
They work wonderfully. I am going to order another lot as im down to 20 disks and its only been a couple of days!!
Gillsfan - do these work for photo VCD's on the DAVS300 too? :)
Also, there's a Gillingham thread in the Sports forum if you've not seen it yet! :)

Nujol - Im not sure about photo CD's, best to get a sample and them out.
I expect they will work, as you can set them up on a menu.
I will check out that thread, thanks!!
